Poor logic. Elite teams are always going to trend towards the traditional style, success doesn't breed change, why would it?
Sports are cyclical, the NBA in 80's and 90's were big man dominated, until MJ. Now the league is full of scoring guards.

Innovation in any arena typically comes from youth(age/experience) or the need to drastically improve results.

Defenses will transition, and offenses will have to change again. It's the way it works. Alabama's offense passes the ball way too much to be considered "traditional", unless you were born in 1990.
