I don't think A&M was 70 points better, but I won't say they wouldn't score 70.
A&M's game v ole miss was an outlier. It was sloppy and cold/ raining all game, johnny had a freshman game for all but 5 minutes. 6 to's and still scored 30.

Since Oklahoma is your only real rival, that game should be more important. Texas got beat as bad as Florida A&M, and at least they were @ OU.
Oklahoma was 10-2 with losses to Kansas state (17pts) and Notre dame (5pts) by less combined than what TAMU won by.

It was only a home game for OU because the entire Texas half of the Cotton Bowl was empty in the 2nd quarter.
