what best player do you know of the wasn't a playmaker?
But this is a list of the top 5 SEC players over the last 7 years. I think you have to take into account more than play making ability in order to put together a decent list. If we take into account his overall ability and what he did play to play, I think he's an above average player with great playmaking ability. Not a top 5 (or even 10) player.
Cam Newton and Fairley only played one year too so what's your point. Mathieu changed many games on his own while playing nickel behind top 10 draft picks at CB and returning crucial kicks.
