We gotta get Todd Wade in as mayor

He came and spoke to us at the law school last week and he really gets it...he doesn't really come across as a politician but he has great ideas and understands Oxford's issues...he really wants better relations between Oxford and Ole Miss.

Has tons of ideas for infrastructure...he's running as an independent (leans Libertarian)...dude is just genuine, you've probably seen him around Oxford even if you don't know it...always meeting folks and attending new business openings the current mayor doesn't make time for

Anyways, I will be voting for him

And oh by the way, he wants alcohol sales on Sundays so if nothing else, you can vote for him for that

Would it be a pain in the arse for me to become registered to vote here?

And when is the election?

I think it would be too late. You have to be registered 30 days prior to the election

The primary is the 7th and the run-off is the 21st

ETA: The general election is June 4th so if you do it within the next two days you are good to go

Took me all of 20 seconds to register a few months ago.. No proof of residency needed either. Terribly flawed system. If I make it out to vote I'll be voting for wade.

I read on Twitter that they were doing it in the Union one day. Anyone know if that was a one time deal?
