Coach Holbrook and the Gamecocks got another JUCO commitment today: Neosho County Community College infielder Jonah Bride announced on twitter he's coming to South Carolina:

Bride led Neosho County to a 42-16 record this season, hitting .471 in 58 games - all starts - with 14 HRs and 93 RBI in his first year with the team. Bride will join the Gamecocks as a sophomore and have 3 years to play.

As a first-year player at Neosho C.C., Bride hit .471, which was the fourth-highest batting average in the country. He also had 93 RBIs, which was second in the country and was third nationally in doubles with 26 in his 58 games played.

As good as Bride’s numbers were offensively, he’s known primarily for his defense. He could play second base, shortstop or third base upon his arrival to campus.
