Will LSU be better all around than last year?
OFFENSE
Defenitly. NO QUESTION!!!
Top 2 rushers return. Plus opening game starter at RB from '12 will be back from injury.
Best FB in college football and his backup.
Top 4 WRs
Oline returns four starters plus a fifth that has started and played against SEC competition.
Returning starter at QB.
For those rebs that thought the LSU "O" was bottom of the SEC and ole miss "O" was top of the line. rebs scored less than 20 points total on the season than LSU, about 1.5 pts more per game.
DEFENSE
Has the potential to be better.
DBs will be more experienced. Tigers started a true freshman at CB (freshman all american). Nickle back (freshman all sec) and dime back were both freshmen. Third safety was a true soph. Those four will have another year in the system and should show marked improvement.
The LB corp will be the BEST the tigers have field in a while. The '12 LB recruiting class was the BEST EVER for LSU. They are now a year into the system.
Two of the '12 recruits split the starts at one of the OLB spots last season. Tigers also return a starter with 100+ tackles from '12.
Starting D-line will be fine. SEC quality talent there. Question will be finding a couple of DTs and DEs to finish off the tigers usual ten man rotation.
So YES I think tigers will be BETTER all around than '12.
