I think Cal's a great coach, but that isn't really a good argument in favor of that point.


1 of which was ineligible and Brandon Knight were the only two anyone expected to go pro. They also only went about 6-7 deep that year. My point is those guys came back and got better. Terrence Jones was a no show in tourney that year. Doron Lamb wasn't much either. Darius Miller was extremely hit or miss. That is why they all came back and GOT BETTER under Cal.

You are really going to tell me going into that season scouts were talking about Josh Harrelson being a future NBA center? Hell no, Calipari helped the develop the hell out of that kid.

People also saw Deandre Liggins as a head case and offensively inept. Yet hit a clutch 3 to beat UNC and is now playing for OKC.

Cal is constantly have to change his system to fit his players that year and convince a bunch of guys who took 20-30 shots a game in high school to share the ball and play defense. There is a reason nobody else does it because nobody else can do it.
