Kentucky Drinking the Kool Aid

This is laughable at best to me. No not because Kentucky is trying to come up. Thats what your supposed to do silly. No program wants or admits to wanting to lay in mediocrity. I'm almost positive the 2 coaches before him wanted to suck or wanted to take a back seat in recruiting. But it is what it is at Kentucky, a basketball school. It took our Dark Lord what, 5/6 seasons to really get 4/5 and true skill guys to buy in. Stoops comes in and reads from the "what to say and not to say New Coach Handbook" and suddenly he's "changing the culture" and " a force to be reckoned with in the East". Let it rain three loosing seasons and he'll be gone is my opinion.

Look familiar?
You sound like the other guys talking about us and Spurrier before our rise. Let's see what he can do before we pass too much judgement.

"They" said the same thing about us, and Vandy for that matter. Now we're winning games and it is what it is. "They" hate it, b/c they used to win those games.
I don't know if Stoops will succeed. I do think he has more of an uphill battle than Spurrier did coming in here. We'll see what happens.

but he's Stoops not Spurrier. Once again my point is completely lost on some of you guys. He's never even coached a game on any level when it's all on his shoulders. Not even as a high school coach. Yet he's poised to contend with Spurrier, Saban, Miles, Boheim, Freeze, mud champ and Richt. frick man Richts had 11 winning years of football in the sec and never once turned in a loosing season and Stoops is poised to compete in year one? Ill be surprised if he has a winning SeC record this year.
Let me make my point clear. Kentucky is not a "contender" in year 1 unless they've got boosters with new checkbooks like auburn. It's a slow steep climb that took spurrier 5/6 years at a school with the proudest most passionate fans in football.

So one fan thinks they'll contending in the next couple of years and all of a sudden you think we're saying Stoops is an elite coach and will win the SEC in year 1?
I think you're way overreacting and there's no reason to hate on UK (in football).
Nothing wrong though with saying the new head coach is trying to change the culture.

He's working to change the culture. Fake it til you make it. There's nothing wrong w/ this.

its more than one fan stating it. I'm fully aware of what he's doing. I've said nothing bad about him other than if he post's 3 loosing seasons the fan base will have his head just like Joker's. I just think they should be more realistic with the new head coach.
