I feel like ole miss does a good job of supporting all 3 of the big 3 sports. Mizzou needs to pick it up in baseball but it'll always be an uphill battle with 2 pro baseball teams in the state, both of which have a better atmosphere and venue (even though the royals are generally pathetic. )

For sure. OM fans are just itching to be good at anything, and show up in droves when we have the slightest glimmer of hope. Also we take a lot of pride in top notch atmospheres, as you can see with the grove and swayze field. Our new basketball arena will help out a lot too.

I think what you see with some historically successful football schools is that the football success sets the bar so high that other sports success isn't satisfying enough.

I would personally rather be solidly good across the board with occasional years of greatness than have one sport where we excel but are bad at most others.

I think that's part of what's bothering me about the analysts saying the SEC is so bad in basketball. We dominate everything else, and I think we should be a strong conference in hoops as well. I'm glad Ole Miss has some basketball fans!
