Depends on who they hire. I think Franklin could be there anywhere b/w 1 to 30 years, seriously. I'm sure certain lengths of time are more likely than others.

Just for the sake of argument, and consistent with things he has said about his own career...let's say he's there another 10 years.

1.) I think with the recruits/coaches/program attitude he's building, he could be an 8+ win plus team consistently over that time frame. So that's about average for the SEC, but he pulled them out of the gutter.

2.) The SEC and Vandy are getting $mulit-millions$ more and "the rich get richer." The gap b/w the other conferences and the SEC continues to grow and SEC coaches are paid on avg substantially higher than other conferences' coaches.

3.) WIth the "winning" program now at Vandy, excitement builds from boosters, market exposure increases, and value/perception increases.

So now, here we are 10 years later, Vandy went from last in the SEC to a middle tier team that's well funded, has moderate+ national respect, recruiting well, and can offer a top level education. There will be plenty of coaches in other conferences who would want that job. They pay will probably be higher, games will be against the best competition, there is already some structure/stability to the program, Nashvegas is a fun place to live, etc....

In summary, I think Franklin is more of a program building coach than people give him credit for. If he does the things above, he can make it a pretty nice job for the next guy.
