Sigh. The never ending "star struck" post.
Rashad Johnson was a walk on
Javier Arenas was a 3*
Marcel Dareus was a 3*
Demeco Ryan's was a 3*
Mark Ingram was a 4*
BJ Scott was a 5* who couldn't beat out a true freshman for a starter position.
Stars smars ...

You obviously don't understand statistics.
For 2012,
if you were a 5* coming out of high school...you had a 12.5% chance of being 1st team AP All American.
if you were a 4* coming out of high school...you had a 3% chance of being 1st team AP All American.
if you were a 3* coming out of high school...you had a 0.6% chance of being 1st team AP All American.
if you were a 2* coming out of high school...you had a 0.0015% chance of being 1st team AP All American.
So.....
a 5* player was over 4x more likely to be 1st team All American than a 4* player. Over 20x more likely than a 3* player. And nearly 12,000x more likely than a 2* player.
