I'm sorry but I'm not sure a single player we are putting on the court right now should be on the team.

Great. Now I can just automatically ignore all of your basketball posts since you have no idea what you are talking about.

We don't need all discipline and no talent right now

Do you think when Ray looks into his book on how to build a good program, one of the ingredients is no talent?

quote:

The problem is not a single recruit wants to come play in the circus we have right now, and they won't until we coach up some talent and compete with it

That's all on Stansbury. What kind of point are you trying to make? You don't think Ray should have kicked people off the team? Do you think he wanted to do that?

I don't think it's entirely Rays fault by any means. I have a hard time believing that he worked with them and exhausted every outlet to keep them on the team and get them straight. I don't know exactly what happened and neither do you, I do know that there are high school teams in the state with more talent than us right now. Again I know he was left in a bad situation but you will not convince me that when he got here there were only a few salvageable players/recruits.

Back on topic. We should have never extended this kid an offer, I don't understand this willingness to take a kid who robbed his coach but not work with kids who smoke a little weed. That is my issue, there wasn't much action taken to correct it. There were no suspensions at all, they may have had to run in practice or something along those lines but in the form of public punishment some of them went from 0 to off the team.
