What exactly happened at the Ole Miss riots?

How many people were killed? I heard it was around 3-4 students. The reports in Starkville is that the entire white student population went rabid with rage shortly after the election and went on a racial manhunt throughout campus, killing 3-4 African American students who were unfortunate enough to be caught on campus at that time.

Shortly after, they set fire to a few of the buildings on campus and began to outline racial slurs in flames on the roads leading through the campus before creating a large burning cross in the middle of the grove...then they all brought out their tents and had a tailgating party(because if you can't win the election, you can still win the party amirite?)

I drove around campus when I was at the Eggbowl, but I'm assuming that the national guard had sectioned off the war zone, so I didn't see any of the damage.
