you're right it wasn't a quirk, the SEC addded 2 new teams and they had to play someone. I wish Bama would've been able to play UGA instead of JFF this year, Bama would still be undefeated.

Don't forget to add that Saban is in favor of a 9 game conference schedule to ensure that you play every team at least once every four years.
