And for years now I’ve argued that the SEC has been the most top-heavy conference in the nation, and is solely the product of having the best team in the nation the last 6 years. It’s been tough trying to get people to listen to this argument, but finally this past Saturday Texas A&M made the argument for me beautifully.

So it took 6 years for your 'argument' to have some validity? A&M is a very good team who upset Alabama after they played a helluva game @LSU the week prior. You're looking too far into this one single game.

a middle of the road Big XII team (and yes, Texas A&M has never done shite in the Big XII in decades) debunked every single myth about the SEC.

Texas A&M also did not have Johnny Fricking Football playing last year. They're a completely different team this year and have still lost TWO games at home to two other top SEC defenses. And what do you have to say about Mizzou this year? They have been better than A&M in the Big 12 for quite a while and are an SEC cellar-dweller this year. They still run a Big 12 offense as well and have not performed well against SEC defenses. Everyone tries to use this one upset to say Big 12 offenses would be better than SEC defenses but they also forget about Mizzou.

For years we’ve been told these SEC defenses would shred the likes of the Big XII offenses. For years we were told those offenses couldn’t handle the SEC pounding.

Again, Alabama, USC, UGA, and UF all killed Mizzou's offense. And why do you leave out the fact that Florida and LSU beat A&M at home? One win over a good D doesn't outweigh two losses.

The most glaring point this game did was only reinforce how much Oklahoma State got screwed last year. That offense would have THROTTLED either of LSU or Alabama, zero doubt about it. The conference is no better than other conferences it’s just had the best team in its league each year and as such everyone else has road their coattails.

I love this. What happened the last time a Big 12 team played an SEC team in the NCG? Oklahoma's best offense in the history of college football score a whole 14 points against Florida. Not to mention that Ole Miss also beat Texas Tech that year in the Cotton Bowl.
The SEC has the best bowl record since the BCS began and the best BCS bowl record of any conference, undefeated in the BCSNG too. What can explain that? Keep in mind that with our tie-ins most of the time the opponent is a higher seed in their conference than the SEC team.
