Spread offenses with QBs who can run have been very successful in the SEC for quite some time. The caveat is that the QB needs to be an elite CFB player.

If you think any other conference, top to bottom, plays better defense than the SEC, you're delusional.
Kansas State, ND, and Oregon would likely be successful in the SEC this year. But the PAC 12 and the Big 12, as a whole, would not be. 6 SEC teams in the top 9 teams in the country. Enough said.
And before Zamoro jumps in and says that is because of the media bias towards the SEC, take note that the unbiased computers have SEC teams ranked 3, 5, 6, 7, T-8, and T-8.
