It was a 13 point game against one of the most dominant regular season teams in recent memory

Yes, that meaningless touchdown Oregon scored with 13 seconds left in the game against our second stringers totally made the game feel close. It was an arse-kicking.

You read it all of the time on here, these high powered offenses would never work in the SEC.

Link?

I mean, it's not like Auburn or Florida ran the spread and won a national title or anything. If you think a high-powered offense can't work in the SEC, you clearly haven't watched SEC football over the past decade. Because it HAS worked.

Citing other people's insane ramblings does not justify your own. If you think A&M has "debunked the myth" that the SEC is the best conference, then you're just as silly as the people you claim are so dumb.

I didn't start the thread, bub. I just wanted to point out something I've noticed around here. The SEC usually has the country's best team. That's obvious, but it's annoying when people act like good football can't be played outside of that conference.

For frick's sake ULM almost swept the SEC this year.

Do I think A&M's win made the SEC's dominance any less significant? No.

On a side note, I think that if Chip Kelly was hired by an SEC team with significant means (Arkansas) he would make them a top-3 team every single year.

Oregon was not an arse-kicking. arse-kicking is when you dominate in every aspect of the football game. LSU dominated the turnover battle which made the score look worse than it really was. Oregon outgained LSU and gave up less yards on defense. IF not for the turnovers by the true freshman inside the 20 that game woulda been completely different. People don't know that the 273 yards of total offense LSU had in that game was the lowest all season until the title game.
