You keep saying that as if they played each other with the same set of players all the 6 years!

This is my point (and has been for the past hour) you tell me if you agree or disagree. Lsu 1-105 when les miles arrived >> Lsu 1-105 when nick saban arrived?

That's what I and websters define as inheriting.

That's not a knock on anyone or a compliment to anyone, it's just pointing something out. Les Miles has a crystal football. Gene Chizik and Larry coker are the only bad coaches with one of those

If that's your point in a discussion comparing the caliber of two coaches TODAY, that's where your fundamental problem is.
There is no doubt that...
LSU today > LSU in 2000-2005 > LSU before 1999
Saban today > Saban 2000-2005 > Saban before 2000

That said, Saban has become the measuring standards of college coaching greatness these days (I'm CREDITING him here). And, then when you throw Miles' record against him with both fielding equally talented teams (though the recruiting gurus give the edge to Bama), it is hard for many to fathom that he's not too far behind Saban. That is, if 6 years is a good time frame for comparison!
