While I think that is true(FSU/Clemson) would prefer SEC, they may get the best of both worlds with Big 12.

More money and a winnable schedule and SEC team scheduling. Say the SEC did add Clemson and FSU. How is that going to help them, or any current SEC team win a national title?

SEC is a tough road to hoe. While WVU wanted in the SEC, I think the Big 12 may be better for WVU
because the schedule is so brutal in the SEC.

In the Big 12 there are elite teams, but there are not a roster of them to slug through. One possible reason for Tenn's and Uga's relative decline is a conference can have only so many top teams. Then they cannibalize each other.

Well for starters the SEC teams would not be playing all 15 of the other teams. While I guess see why people think it is harder to win it all from a tougher conference. I would have thought the last 6 years would have disproven that.

Bama last year for example did not play UGA or USCe. so of the 5 best teams in the SEC, they were 1-1 against the other 4. You don't play history, you play a team that year. 2011 Florida is very different that 2008, 2009 Florida.

I agree about the money, but more winnable? That is a stretch...neither could do much in the ACC in recent years...doubt they will fare better in a much tougher conference.

And from a recruiting standpoint, I am not sure playing in the Big 12 helps them...
