Your links are outdated. The Big 12 now shares first and second tier revenues, while allowing individual schools to keep their third-tier revenue.
The conference also shares bowl-appearance money and NCAA tournament proceeds.
Isn't that exactly like the SEC's revenue sharing plan?
Yet those two schools voted lockstep with Texas on nearly every issue of import, including revenue sharing.
Go figure.
