Was the national Defensive Player of the Year in 1997. It was a kick start for UK Football when he stayed at home. They had been losing their best players to other teams.

Had a great freshman and sophomore year at UK. UK had a 7-5 record his freshman year and 6-6 his sophomore year. They had had only two winning seasons in the 12 years before then. Since he signed they've had six winning seasons & the 6-6 season in 14 years.
