Anyone who thought our WR's were first round locks obviously knows nothing about the NFL. Also, I don't think I've seen a single Arkansas fan claim that our WR's were first round locks.
There is a HUGE difference between being the best WR corp in college and being an NFL WR. A 5'10 WR can dominate in college on the outside like Jarius Wright did this past year but he will get abused in the pro's and has to be turned in to a slot guy. However, slot guys don't get drafted in the top few rounds.
Greg Childs would have absolutely been a 1st round draft pick as early as last year if not for his knee injury. He will still most likely be a big time steal for someone as he looks to finally be 100% after never even being close his senior year. The knee injury is going to kill his payday though. For the sake of Arkansas' draft reputation he probably would have been best served by redshirting this past year and coming back in '12. He probably would have soared back to a 1st or 2nd round pick easily.
Adams and Wright will both be slot guys in the NFL so they should go now that the big WR's that NFL teams crave these days are off the board. Both of them in the right systems will probably excel but neither will ever be an every down WR. Not gonna happen in today's NFL unless one of them gets lucky enough to be drafted by the Patriots to replace Welker.
