This is true. But when those other teams are good, they steer recruits away from Georgia. Georgia wasn't that great last year, despite what your 10-3 record might show. The East was just THAT bad.

And also it must be said that in the last 30 years there has probably been no program that has underachieved more than the Georgia Bulldogs. Since Georgia's last national championship all of its chief rivals have won it all on at least one occasion (Georgia Tech, Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, and Auburn). Georgia has been recruiting lights out for the last 20 years and has only two conference titles to show for it.
