Saban is a great coach. However, I am amazed how people always skip over the fact that he has only ever had two top fives.

Interesting point, but I think he's number 1 because he took over an LSU program that was 4-7 and 3-8 the previous seasons and an Alabama program just recovering from NCAA sanctions, and brought them to an elite level. Can't argue with him there.

I also think Miles does not get enough credit for sustaining LSU's success. There are numerous coaches who have tanked after taking over for a successful coach.
