They are letting what they "want" to have happen overwhelm the objective reality they are presented with. It's a very serious form of delusion. Miles is a good coach.
The mocking of him as a terrible coach with the LSU program on the decline is probably as much a result of being on this messageboard and reading the Tiger Rant as it is of any "cognitive dissonance".

like, the people who mock Miles the most are part of the LSU fanbase. Tiger Rant meltdowns even after wins are epic
