I remember everyone picking State last year to run all over AU.

Really? I dont think that any non Mississippi State fans were picking State to win at Auburn last year and I KNOW that the spread wasnt anywhere near to the 3 points its currently at.

There are a lot more people on here other than State fans who think the Bulldogs can pull off the upset at home this Thursday.

FWIW, I was at the State/Memphis game, and was able to watch the replay of Auburn/Arky St. yesterday. I can say this much, Auburn opened up their play book a lot for an inferior team. State prob didnt run any more than 18-20 different plays and kept our offense VERY Vanilla.

Also, with that being said, Dan Mullen is familiar with Cam Newton and his weaknesses having coached him for 2 years at Florida. I think that Coach Mullen will have a game plan ready for Newton similar to what he had for Tim Tebow last year. If you remember the MSU/Florida game last year State held Tebow in Check and also forced him to throw 2 pick 6's. Florida's defense was the difference last year and I dont think the Auburn D is as good as Florida's

Friendly debate topics....

Why are people so impressed with MSU?
Its MEMPHIS for godsakes last place conference USA and bottom 10 feeder.

Its MSU for godsakes last place SEC member.

Neither team made a bowl game last year.

Who couldnt move the ball against Memphis if they had a chance to play them. Then the two QB thing..

Auburn it was Arky State

They are competitive for the big games but they fall off dramatically from that point.

However, the Sunbelt is a better conference than CUSA as of now for football.
