It is ironic how some are worried about Porter being asked to greyshirt at the last moment. However, those that seem worrried the most about his feeling are the ones who bash current players and recruits the most. If you are going to speak up when you perceive a wrong doing then you better shut your mouth went a player does something bad or makes a mistake. Also, some bitch and complain every year about our recruits. How many current and former players, and recruits have been bashed over and over. The other day I read where some poster stated that "Paul Truner would ride the bench at LSU". Where was the outcry! Some will Bitch for no reason except to be heard. STFU if you have nothing positive to say. No one knows what went on behind closed doors with the Coaching Staff and Porter. And yes, I believe the Staff expected some kids to not qualify, just like every coach does every year. We do not live in a perfect world...

who was that QB that Meyer told Tebow wasnt a QB?(something like that)

go ask him what he thinks of a kid being caught in an unlikely numbers crunch

EDIT: found the story. from the book meat market..

quote:

You can’t tell the story about Jevan Snead enough (recounted in the book Meat Market). The funniest thing I read in it concerned what Urban Meyer told Jevan Snead. Snead had watched the Outside the Lines special on Tebow, which showed Meyer and OC Dan Mullen in the stands. Problem was, Meyer had told Snead, committed at the time, that he was the only quarterback they were going after. When Snead asked Meyer about it, Meyer responded, “We are recruiting him for linebacker.”

quote:

Reverse... Meyer told Snead he was recruiting Tebow to play LB.

EDIT2: thats what i meant. (since i cant waste #1000 explaining thats what i meant to OBUDan.)

Well, you are wrong. I'm generally on the other side of the fence. In this case, LSU is wrong.
