This post is so ignorant I don't even know where to begin dissecting it. I'll start at the top.
Donnan averaged 8.75 wins his last 4 years (10,9,8,8). Richt has averaged 9.5 (9,11,10,8) This stretch for Richt includes his 2 worst years as a coach, while Donnan's are some of his best. Donnan went 5-6 his first year, Richt went 8-4.
WHAT!? WHY NOT!? What did he ever win? Oh yeah, he won 10 games ONCE and won the outback bowl. Richt has at least WON something of substance.
Part of being a "competent" head coach, as you like to say, is surrounding yourself with good coaches. Who exactly do you think HIRED van gorder?
WHEW! Good thing that coaches aren't evaluated based on 4 year periods. People usually use, ya know, their whole careers.
