For all his height and athleticism why doesn't he post higher scoring numbers? As senior shouldn't he be dominating on a more consistent basis? What's up with that?

Just because one is a senior player that does not mean they will be a dominate player. Or even a good player in the case of DeWayne Reed of Auburn.

he just doesn't have any good offensive skill

At 6'9 he's actually considered short for a center.

Better question, how is the name Jarvis Varnado (correct spelling) pronounced "Ver-nar-do"?
That is ghey and wrong, ala Brett Favre being pronounced "Farve"

Varnado is the only player in college history to have over 1000 points, 1000 rebounds, and over 500 blocks. He is 16 shy of breaking the NCAA record. Not to mention all of his double double's. Varnado is an outstanding player. It's all coaching Rick Stansbury cannot find a way to win a big game.

Because he is skinny and doesn't catch the ball deep enough. All the 3's MSU shoots doesn't help either.

Exactly. They shoot too many 3 pointers.

It is actually pronounced "Var-na-do"...just like it is spelled. He has never been a prolific scorer. Granted he does have night where teams decide not to double him when he get the ball down low and can go off for 30 points like last year LSU. They decided they were not going to double and keep their guys out on the perimeter for kick out so he scored 31. Some nights his hook shot goes in and some nights he goes like 2-10. If he had a offensive game, he would be in the NBA right now.

Dude its spelled Varnado and pronounced Vanardo. I thought you were a state fan and you don't know that. Anyway, the guy has never been good at offense. He scores like 12-14 a game from layups and garbage, gets his double double, blocks some shots, and causes the defense to stay out of the paint. He is a great player, but when it comes to offensive post play, he's got no skills really. He'll be a project for an nba team. don't know if it will work though.

He is a one dimensional player.

Would he start this year on Kentucky's team? Would Cousins be on the bench behind him?

You are actually wrong, too. It's pronounced VUR-NAR-DOE. I thought you were a State fan and you don't know that. We're both wrong, doesn't take anything away from our credibility of being a fan. I have never thought about the way I say his name because it all sounds the same.

6'9' is rather short. That height is more fitting for a forward.
