Eastern Standings Conference Pct.
Florida 12-0 * Sugar or BCSCG
Tennessee 7-5
Georgia 7-5
Kentucky 7-5
South Carolina 7-5
Vanderbilt 2-10 NON ELIGIBLE
Western Standings Conference
Alabama 12-0 * Sugar or BCSCG
LSU 9-3 * Cap. One
Ole Miss 8-4 * Cotton
Arkansas 7-5
Auburn 7-5
Miss. State 5-7 NON ELIGIBLE
So we have 6 teams with identical 7-5 records... Cap. One will take the next highest after the Bama/UF, Cotton will take the next highest after the Cap. One.... How does it hash from here ?

Should be LSU to the Cap One and Ole Miss to the Cotton and the others really don't matter because they are all about the same. If we were 7-5 I would want to go to Shreveport because it is a nice bowl and the city does a nice job with that game. The weather is usually pretty good and the food is better.

I was hoping for the Peach myself due to it usually being on New Year's eve... I think Peach takes UGA however...

I remember some great weather for that game about 9 years ago.

Yeah. I was in the corner of the endzone and couldnt' see past the 50 for about 20 minutes of that game.

That's a lot of 7-5 teams...damn.

Not that it would hurt my feelings, but why wouldnt' ole miss go again? They set bar records at this one bar. Dallas loves them. I thought Ark was headed to the Liberty.

When are the non-bcs bowl invitations announced? Early next week, or are they all announced sunday?

Here's my idle speculation from another thread:
Florida (13-0) - NC
Bama (12-1) - Sugar
LSU (9-3) - Capital One (vs Big 10 - PSU probably)
Arkansas (7-5) - Cotton (vs Big 12 - OSU probably)
Ole Miss (8-4) - Outback (vs Big 10 - Iowa probably)
Tennessee (7-5) - Peach (vs ACC - Clemson probably)
Auburn (7-5) - Liberty (vs Conf USA - ECU maybe)
UGA (7-5) - Music City (vs ACC - Miami or NC probably)
Kentucky (7-5) - Independence (vs Big 12 - Texas A&M maybe?)
USC (7-5) - Papa John's (vs Big East - Rutgers maybe?)
Florida (13-0) - NC
Bama (12-1) - Sugar
LSU (9-3) - Capital One (vs Big 10 - PSU probably)

Whether this is about bowls or about weather?
Now this is real weather forecasting:

Hopefully we are ahead of Auburn and South Carolina in the bowl pecking order. Nothing is set in stone, though.

The Cotton and Outback are the same level. Both pay 3 million to the teams. Cotton generally takes West #2(Ole Miss) and Outback East #2(Tennessee). They could switch because OM was at the Cotton last year.

No matter who your favorite team is it says a lot for our conference that we have 10 teams going to bowl games. There will be a ton of money divided up among the SEc schools this year when it is all said and done.

Arkansas is going to the Liberty to face Houston.
It's the best match-up for the bowl, the fans, and the teams.
-The #1 offense vs the the #93 defense.
-The #8 offense defense vs. the #110 defense.
-Casey vs Ryan
Houston is thankful as hell to go to the Liberty and will sell their allotment. Arkansas fans living in Memphis alone would fill the Arkansas allotment.
It would be branded the most exciting non-BCS matchup of the bowl season. Fans love offense and this would be the most bang for the buck all the way around.
Any Hog fan that tells you we are going elsewhere hasn't looked at the big picture and/or simply hopes for a Cotton Bowl bid.

And by the way, it doesn't matter if your bowl pays 1 million or 10 million.
The SEC covers your travel expenses and the rest is put in a pot to spread among the 12 teams.
