08 Utah played a grand total of two games against BCS teams in the regular season and barely squeaked by both. Michigan finished 3-9 and Oregon St. 9-4. If you wanna assume that Utah could have played an entire SEC schedule and go on to win the SEC Championship and finish better than 11-2 like we did, hey, more power to you. But I couldn't disagree with you more.

I don't think anyone is arguing that, I think people are saying it would be possible for Utah to beat that LSU team. I'm not talking full SEC schedules, etc; a single game matchup Utah could win. To think it's ridiculous that LSU could lose to Utah seems a bit arrogant.

of course. upsets always happen.

but a few posters are saying that 2008 Utah was better than the 2007 LSU team, meaning not only would they have beaten LSU, they would have fared better with the same schedule in 2007. That's what a better team would have done, right?
