It was the right call going for it earlier. Bama’s offense has to stay on the field and he knew that.

Debatable. But, the cute trickeration stuff hasn't worked.
Let Bernard do it from the Wildcat, which has been successful, or go 4th and Proctor from a .5 yard to the line to gain.
