The song is sang from the perspective of a paranoid and jealous man who is being cheated on. We could say cucked but for semantics and not trying to be too mean, we’ll just stick with ‘cheated on’.

You sing along with this song, aligning with the perspective of the singer, and then say F-KU.

My question is, why?

To me, breaking this down, it would seem like you’re the party that has been hurt be cheating. It’s a paranoid song. It’s a coping song. It’s about coping with being cheated on.

Usually the person hurt by cheating would be the one shouting F (her name/his name).

Am I missing something?

I get doing it when they’re actually playing us, but they do it at every home sporting event regardless of who they’re playing.

I don’t get it from any perspective.

It would seem to be even more embarrassing in front of you.

It’s clear nobody ever thought this through and it’s now a fundamental part of the rivalry.

If I had to bet, I’d say the line “and I’m doing just fine” is where this originates — stating that Mizzou is doing just fine leaving KU behind.

But given the actual song lyrics and the context of that line being a ‘cope’ because the singer really isn’t “doing just fine” makes this an absolutely embarrassing choice of song to sing to your rival.

Michigan played this during the fourth quarter of its games too. The song was a huge hit like 20 years ago. But I hate Michigan with the heat of 10,000 suns. As far as KU and Mizzou I never experienced the hatred of that rivalry but it is a weird choice for a song at any sporting event. Unless the students like the beat and totally are tone deaf to the lyrics

Appreciate the psychological investigation here Dr.

But you are overthinking it. It’s a way to cover for being able to say fvck kU with several thousand of your closest friends.

It could be the theme song to PeeWee’s Playhouse- as long as there was a way to say fvck kU.

Got it.

Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing an angle here.

You passionately sing a cuck-anthem, even when she isn’t present, because you’re not obsessed and bothered by your ex.

You said it, not me.

Mr Brightside
They copied Michigan bigly, they do it bigger and better in every way.

Fwiw, a cold big game fall Saturday in Ann Arbor is one of the best college football weekends you’ll ever have. Gorgeous place with great fans.

The song is multiple decades old.

It would be like a song from the 70s in the 90s.

Invalid excuse.

You have adopted a cuck-anthem that you scream to your ex, even when she’s not there.

It’s amazing this has never been thought through.

Michigan hasn’t associated the song with OSU or any opponent.

They haven’t added any lyrics.
