The Timberwolves traded back to this slot earlier in the draft, moving off No. 31 to obtain future second-rounders. They then traded it to the Lakers, per ESPN's Shams Charania, with L.A. making another move up the board from No. 45, sending that pick and cash to Minnesota to grab him. Thiero is one of the draft's best athletes and most electric defensive playmakers but saw his value slip after sitting out a large chunk of the season because of a knee injury that also limited him some during the predraft process.
