gotdang I wish I could drag my Dad's favorite Brooks & Dunn songs across the finish line here, but all his favorite B&D songs were in the 1990's

Johnny Cash.
Reba
Most country music seems more like soft rock with a twang. It's John Cougar Mellencamp saying yall. Not for me. But some of them can be really good.

So the deal here is this:
- real country music in the 20th century was a thing
- red dirt country is NOT from sellout fricking Nashville Tenn
- but this thread is searching for some good Nashville country post year-2000

you're just like my older brother

you refuse to read or listen to anyone, and then you refuse to ever admit you're wrong

I don't like country music. I was just agreeing with TigerLunatik's post with the few exceptions I have.
I wouldn't have posted otherwise. I don't know any 21st century Nashville country music that's actually good. I know people who own a bar on Broadway, and you can't drag me in there at night. It would be literal torture for me.
I'm often wrong, I just change my opinion after.

I would like to officially protest this heinous idea/concept.
But dammit, I am contractually obligated to participate in every HRV thread on this and all sister websites.
