Obviously it's truly impossible to know this but thought it might be a fun topic. Here was the schedule:

9/07 – Virginia Cavaliers (ATL)
9/12 – ETSU Buccaneers
9/19 – @ Alabama Crimson Tide
9/26 – ULM Warhawks
10/3 – Vanderbilt Commodores
10/10 – Auburn Tigers
10/17 – @ Missouri Tigers
10/24 – BYE
10/31 –Florida Gators
11/7 – @ South Carolina Gamecocks
11/14 – Tennessee Volunteers
11/21 – @ Kentucky Wildcats
11/28 – Georgia Tech

With no covid we get an entire spring install of new OC Monken's offense which is nice. We also have Jamie Newman going through the full fall camp and starting from day 1. Assuming JT is still not playable until october, there's no telling if Mathis or Stet ever see any meaningful reps assuming Newman isn't hurt. Weird to think about.

To be honest I don't know if THAT much really changes. We still lose to alabama without much of a doubt I don' think. Probably still lose to Florida just bc their offense was so great but I'm not certain though. We lost that game due to Trask carving us up but we got no favors from QB. Stet was ok early but got hurt, mathis was terrible to the point we had to bring an injured stet back in the game. With a healthy QB who knows? All the other games I fail to see a reason to convert a real life win into a loss.

I do think one of the weird butterfly effct things to think about is how our national title 2021 season would be affected. Stetson had a bunch of 2020 experirnece so we were comfortbale giving him the reigns once JT went down. If we enter 2021 with a brand new JT Daniels and an inepxerienced stetson, who knows how much differently things play out.

If Fromm had come back for his senior year, 2020 could have been a lot different, regardless of the covid bullshite. We had a QB problem in 2020.

Jamie Lajai Newman wasn't going to be our savior. He only got brought in to fill out a depth chart when Fromm erroneously entered the draft early. We started Brain Aneurysm guy. He couldn't play, so here comes walk-on Stetson Bennett in over his head because our other transfer JT Daniels had a sore pussy. Then after some Masingill, JT's pussy started feeling better and took over to look like a Heisman contender for 4 games after it was too late for the season to mean anything.

How that would have affected 21, 22, and so on, that's infinite butterfly effect stuff as you mentioned.

Am I the only person that thinks Stetson was pretty damn good in 2020?

He flashed for sure. Not sure we beat Arkansas without him.

It’s pretty clear Arkansas was going to be an L without him. I think Florida would’ve been a win if he didn’t separate his shoulder.
