Notes: Many, many South Carolina, Vanderbilt, and Texas A&M responses were junked. All responses that had alternating wins and losses were thrown out. The remaining responses were compiled and analyzed on a game-per-game basis (for example, responses for Auburn vs Kentucky and responses for Kentucky vs Auburn were added) and used to determine the winner. The numbers next to each school show how many valid responses were given.
I enjoyed doing this survey, and I appreciate all of you who took the time to respond. I hope you all get a bit of fun out of the results.

Look at the percentages, man...
51% picked LSU over Bama.
56% picked LSU over Ole Miss.
Those are really close. LSU legitimately could go anywhere from 9-3 or 12-0.
Besides, there are a lot of LSU fans on this board. It's not a Gallup poll lol.

Or think about how many LSU fans voted for LSU to win that many games.

Remember, I cross-matched each team's games and threw out bogus polls.

Gotcha, just read the bottom part.

This board exists because of LSU fans. Half of your fan bases can't drum up enough support to populate a home board for your own teams. So of course the results of some random poll are going to be skewed in LSU's favor.

Such respect from their sec counterparts

Out of curiosity does anyone know or has anyone ever checked how tRant SEC predictions compare with media preseason predictions? I would almost remove LSU from those comparisons since they have a large enough fanbase to override predictions from outside fanbases but it would be interesting to see how tRant fared in predictions compared to others.

Lol, you took the time to lowercase Missouri.

Are you not one of the LSU fans who are obsessed with us? That's refreshing.

Should be fairly simple to check. I can try later today, but no promises.

IF you're going to change the data, you should at least post the results BEFORE you altered it. How do we know you're not just changing things to make it appear like you want to?

I wonder why South Carolina was favored by 80% of respondents in every one of their matchups?
And trust me, this is not how I wanted the results to shape up.
Posted on 8/16/24 at 10:15 am to Lonnie Utah
The problem with your survey is the way it was structured per team. For example, since you had Ole miss in one survey and LSU in another, what's stopping someone from picking LSU and the winner in the LSU poll and Ole Miss in the Ole miss poll. That can skew the final numbers. Also, there were only 10 choices and all the teams play 12 games. That's a fundamental design flaw in the way you set this up. You should have had just the head to head matchups in one big survey. That way folks couldn't have altered their choices to favor that favorite team, but also handicap their rivals. Do you not think that on the SEC RANT Alabama fans were voting down Tennessee and vice versa?

Maybe folks think they're a dark horse???
Man up and post the unaltered data and let folks decide for themselves. That's what a REAL scientist would do.

Sounds like you have a vendetta against south carolina fans. Haven't they been A&M rival since expansion?

Lol, shows what you know about research.

You remember telling me that you "already voted four times"?
And of course someone who picked Alabama to beat Tennessee in the Bama survey is going to pick Tennessee to lose in the Tennessee survey. It would be dumb if they did it in reverse.
Use your brain, Lonnie.
