His status as a golfer has zero to do with this. It is a public road and an active accident scene. If the road in front of my office is blocked due to a major traffic accident, does that mean I can drive over the median and disobey the cop directing traffic because I have a meeting in a couple hours?
If this was an NBA player trying to get to the game early for some warm up shots you would have a totally different reaction.
