Now but he would still dominate today. Go watch his film. 6’8” forward that would wear you out shooting from the perimeter and then take your arse inside. His talent fit today’s game really well.

Was in tiger band(bengal brass) for the 100 years of basketball in 2009.
The legend put his hand on my shoulder and is a redwood of a man. It was apparent he could still bust heads.
I’ve met some lsu legends but only saw him once.

When I first started collecting sports cards I wanted to get all of the NBA’s 50 greatest players (autographed), and then I found out Bob Pettit went to LSU, even weirder is that at the time I had no idea.
I’m way too young to have seen him play, so I went on several deep dives of highlights with this guy. His footwork was incredible in the post, and the drop step, up-and-under, he was great. His hook shot was Kareem-esque — it was basically unguardable. He had a great fadeaway. Great jump shooter. Deceptively quick. Great rebounder. He was a spectacular player from what I’ve seen.
Pete Maravich is obviously the GOAT but I didn’t even know Pettit played for LSU for the longest time, there’s really no excuse for that, dude was a legend.
