The video proves once again that Ben Crump lies about EVERY case he is involved with. Crump claimed:

1) Cop had the wrong apartment.
2) Cop "busted down the door."

Both claims are demonstrably, provably, bullshite. Cop was told to go to 1401 and he knocked on 1401. Cop did not "bust down the door" but knocked and yelled "Sheriff's department" twice. The suspect voluntarily opened the door.

Now I don't know if the witness had the right apartment, but the Cop himself went exactly where he was told (he is not a psychic, he has to rely on witnesses). Even if it was the wrong apartment, you can't open a door on a Cop with a gun in your hand. You just can't. It's foolish.

By the way, this SAME exact situation happened a couple weeks ago but it didn't make the news. I guess it didn't make the news because the perp was not black (I believe he was Asian). Here's the video of the other incident:

Why not? What law in the state of Florida makes holding a gun in your own home while not committing a crime illegal?

But you should be able to.

I agree, but anybody can identify like that. Unlikely, but possible. I think it would be best to find a way to look out the door to verify he's in uniform or something. If you can tell it's police then I think it would be wise to not answer holding a gun. I'm not saying you can't do it. I just don't think it would be ideal.
