Correct, however that’s not what this trail is about. The idiot prosecutor is trying to establish there was “hush money” in order to show that the money paid to Cohen wasn’t marked properly.
In other words, he’s on trail for bad book keeping.

Which would be a misdemeanor; and the prosecution would have to prove Trump knew and still signed off on it.
