I am looking to put some type of privacy bush / bamboo along the inside of my wood fence since my neighbor decided to build a tall lean-to next to my fence to store his 4 wheelers under. It looks trashy and I would like to hide this from my view. Problem is i have brick pavers there so i am looking to do a potted type plant / bush that will block this view. I would like something that is not messy and won't drop foliage into my pool. Possibly will use a galvanized tough of some sort as a pot. Thanks

I know get better neighbors, That's not an option at the moment

Look into Jasmine. It flowers and smells good. You’ll have to keep anything pruned anyway. Not the nighttime Jasmine if you have pets as it’s toxic. But there are safe jasmines. I’m thinking of doing the same on my fence.

Do not plant bamboo. Worst decision you could make. Previous owners of my house planted bamboo years ago, and guess who has to deal with it now every spring.

you are overthinking this

just get these Fence Weave fillers to block your view LINK /

they slide into the chain link fence to make it solid like a brick wall

they use them in plants all the time to block the view of the scrap yards full of junk

No offense but you sound like the worse neighbor here.
