I think the bowl system might as well go out of business
anyone that doesn't make the 12 team, eventual 16 team playoffs is not gonna wanna play a bowl game, they will be in the portal before any bowl games are played

I actually think the expanded playoffs will save college football due to the sheer interest of teams through the end of the regular season

Bowl games = more practice and coaching time for players, of which is extremely limited these days. It also means more exposure.

That is unless you have a shitty program like FSU and everyone opts out.

That's why schools go to them while losing money still. If they would give everyone the same practice time regardless of if they made a bowl game, I think you might see some changes in the case of the school losing money from having to buy all the tickets they can't sell.
