OBITUARY

SAN FRANCISCO -- A funeral was scheduled Monday for Jimmy Lee Simpson, father of former football star O.J. Simpson, who died at the age of 66.

Simpson, an employee of the Federal Reserve Bank in San Francisco for 35 years, died of cancer June 9. His son, now a television actor who was making a film in Los Angeles, arrived at his father's bedside 15 minutes before he died, family members said.

Simpson also is survived by his wife, Eunice, two daughters and another son; his mother, Perlie Mae Wimberly of Los Angeles, two sisters, seven brothers and 15 grandchildren.

The funeral was scheduled for Monday at Providence Baptist Church in San Francisco with burial at the Golden Gate National Cemetery.
