His mitt arm kinda got hung up on the runners shoulder. He might have thought the guy hooked him but that wasn't the case.
My kid is a catcher in high school and his comment was that if he wanted to knee somebody, the dude should have done it as part of the tag motion. Can't ever make it obvious and that the Miss St catcher should sit a few games.
I agree with everyone else here. Ump should have immediately tossed the catcher then resumed the game.

Lemonis said the umps at the game were fine, and they kept apologizing to both coaches.
