I was there for a week about two years ago during COVID. Everything is super expensive so be prepared. The transit system is first rate - get the premium pass that allows for riding in the lead car - it is worth it. The malls, while not my thing, are just big malls. Nothing special. Overall for the culture, I liked Old Dubai the best.
