re: Did Michigan show a new way to build a national championship team?

Sure you can beat elite recruiting with very good recruiting and elite experience, but it isn’t sustainable year to year for obvious reasons. The stars only align with that many experienced seniors every 3-5 years and then it all crashes again. Which is how winning titles used to be built back when CFB was a regional sport prior to 4 or 5 super teams hogging all the talent with national recruiting. Fans of top teams don’t have the patience for 12-0 followed by 8-4 anymore.
