Lot of talk about Miles’ lines here but the reason that a) his lines got push and b) play action passed rarely worked is he fielded 5 guards with one who snapped.

Outside of Collins we rarely had decent tackles in that era.

Also, Grimes seemed to take a lot of project players who usually didn't work out.

You might want to put that on Les, OL coaches would find, recruit good OL, Les would override. Les wanted a certain type player, the position Coaches knew what was needed.
A friend of mine signed Jeff Grimes out of high school. Jeff played at UTEP, his OL coach, Andy Reid. Jeffs Offensive Coordinator, Dirk Koetter.

This is not accurate.

Ciron was great.
Chris Faulk was very good.
Barksdale was no slouch in '10.
Hawkins was very good.

Malone was the only weak LT the entire Miles' era.
