In. We have a 2 year old and a 4 month old, she took off after the first kid. She was a teacher so not like she made good money. We valued our time together as a family and quality of life more than let’s say $1-2k more a month (after daycare costs). But to each their own.

“To each their own” can be said up to a point.. but for a lot of families $1-2k more a month is a pretty big deal and can lead to a much better quality of life.

I think it’s pretty easy to say “we value our time together more than money” when Dad is pulling $250k+. But it’s a much more impressive thing to say if he’s at say $90k.

I’m not sure what right the “tipping point” income figure would be to go single income. A lot of factors at play in that decision (number of kids, private school, etc)
