I don't even have a problem with the portal. I think it's fools gold. Football is the ultimate team sport and you have to build championships ( and getting a player here there can help) but you can't buy winning programs .. You can maybe buy a single title (but lots of teams have tried that and also failed) I think the portal will present Bama with that player or two but the ones going for the highest bidding - I don't see that as a viable path for sustained winning. I don't like that Bama can't supplement right now so the optics look bad with headlines being only negative

THE NIL is the death of CFB. Fans are fans of a program. I'm a UA fan regardless of who plays. Players are of the opinion that it's them and need to be paid as such. That recognition will have to take place... But again building is more forward looking than buying.
